ASSISTANT PERSON SUPPORT MANAGER - FULL-TIME POST

ST. MARGARET’S NETWORK IS RECRUITING AN ASSISTANT PERSON SUPPORT
MANAGER in the greater Dublin area to work with and support teams to
support individuals in their own homes.

St. Margaret’s is a rights-based service, working in partnership
with adults with disabilities and their families/significant people in
their lives, in line with each individual’s will, preference and
choice. We support each individual to live a meaningful life of their
choosing in their own home, at the heart of family, friends and their
community. We are also currently supporting people to move from the
residential service at Ballyfermot to their own home.

THE ROLE:

The Assistant Person Support Manager works as part of the Person
Support Management Team, leading the teams supporting individuals to
exercise their rights, will and preference in their own home, at the
heart of family, friends and their community.

The Assistant Person Support Manager reports to and works with the
Person Support Manager, working directly with the Person Support Team
Leaders in their day-to-day role with individuals and their support
teams.

The Assistant Person Support Manager will lead, mentor and support the
Person Support Team Leaders, working in collaboration to build
resources and supports within teams so that each person receives
support to live a meaningful life.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, with strong
managerial and leadership abilities, who will work with Team Leaders
to build positive professional relationships and circles of support
that will work flexibly with each individual and support them in their
lifestyle choices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Hold a Level 7 Degree in Health, Social Care or Applied Social
Studies, or relevant field

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

* Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading, managing and
directing teams working in community-based services in the area of
Health & Social Care;
* Have a proven track record of involvement in implementing
change/quality initiatives that support individuals to live meaningful
lives;
* Ability to build trust, lead and motivate a team;
* Be committed to empowering people to live meaningful lives;
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills together with
the ability to work on their own initiative
* High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
* Excellent IT Skills
* Full driver’s license (B)
